Maalox Suspension provides fast, effecting relief from burning sensations in the stomach or chest area and bloating or gas pain that may occur after a meal known as indigestion. Maalox Suspension is an antacid suspension that relieves your symptoms in two different ways: Antacid - Neutralises excess stomach acid. Anti-gas Ingredient - reduces gas pain and pressure. How to Use: Drink 1 or 2 sachets while experiencing heartburn or an acid reflux. Drink the solution undiluted. For Adult use only - DO NOT drink more than 12 sachets (6 doses) per day. DO NOT use for more than 10 days. Active Ingredients: Hydrated aluminium oxide. Magnesium hydroxide. Precautions for use: Do not increase the dose if your symptoms have worsened after 10 days. Consult your doctor or pharmacist, if in doubt. Do Not use if: You are allergic to any of this medicine´s ingredients; or if you have severe kidney disease. Warnings and Precautions: Consult your doctor prior to use if: - your discomfort is caused by weight loss; - you have difficulty swallowing or chronic abdominal pain; - after taking Maalox sachets that this is the first time that you are experiencing digestive difficulty, or if the nature of your discomfort has recently changed; or - if you have kidney disease or poor kidney function, or undergo regular dialysis (this medicine contains aluminium and magnesium); a build-up of aluminium and magnesium in the body can cause severe neurological damage. * Do not use if you are fructose-intolerant, or suffer from glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency. Contains sucrose use with caution if you are diabetic or on a low-sugar diet.
